Patient Background

93F with chronic DM L leg wound for over 2 years. The wound has previously been diagnosed with OM. Vascular status has also been compromised, but she was not a surgical candidate for vascular procedure. Past treatment includes PO and IV antibiotics, multiple surgical debridements, NPWT, collagenase, silver alginate, hydrofera blue, honey and platelet derived growth factor.


KoCarbonAg® treatment was initiated at this point. Wound size was 10 x 5 cm.


4 weeks later, the wound was improved. At 6th week, the wound was significantly reduced in size. 8 weeks after KoCarbonAg® treatment, the wound was fully healed.
